1. Function Bagas Godang & Sopo Godang

Bagas Godang (House of the King) is always built in pairs with a customs convention center located in front of or next to the house of King. Customary convention center is called Sopo Sio Rancang Magodang or Sopo Godang. 

The building uses the pillars of the odd number as the number of steps. To symbolize that the government in Huta is a democratic government, then Sopo Godang built without walls. In this way, all the customary court and the government can directly and freely witnessed and heard by the Huta`s people. Sopo Godang is used by the King and the figures Na Mora Na Toras as representatives of the to places to take important decisions and to receive the distinguished guests. Accordingly, the customs building is glorified with named Sopo Sio Rancang  Magodang inganan partahian paradatan parosu ni-ni rosuan hula dohot dongan (General Assembly hall where discussion  make custom assembly and bonding with the dignitaries and relatives).

 
Usually in the building placed Gordang Sembilan is Mandailing traditional muzik tools that formerly considered sacred. Each Bagas Godang constantly accompanied by a Sopo Godang it must have a yard large because that both of the building was placed at one location is quite broad and flat in huta.Bagas Godang yard called Alaman Bolak Silangse Utang ( the pay off debt of yard).

Anyone who is seeking protection from the threats they may obtain their salvation in this yard (sanctuary). According to custom Mandailing, when people who are in danger of entering this yard  they protected the king, and should not be tampered with as of the Gaga Godang and Sopo godang function, both of  the building symbolizes the greatness of the indigenous communities of Huta as a legally recognized communities of their independent to made  the government and indigenous peoples in Mandailing community. There for the two buildings are glorified in the life of the community.
 

Resam`s traditions of  Mandailing made both of this buildings as belonging to the indigenous community without prejudice to the glory of the King and his family are entitled to fully occupy Bagas Godang. Therefore, in the past Sopo Godang and Godang Bagas also Alaman Bolak  Silangse Utang deliberately not fenced or walled houses separated from Huta residents.

2. Traditional Clothing Batak Mandeling

In the Batak tribes Mandailing, bridegroom wore wear Teluk Belanga clothes and cloth of Saring Disuji  and wearing head coverings such sangkok.
This wedding dress  influenced of the Minangkabau ethnic. The trousseau is Baju Kurung and cloth of suji. The Ulos slung on his shoulder such as Bintang Maratur Ulos, Bolean Ulos,Namarjungkit Ulos, and much more. The Headgear use crown called Bulang headdress with flowers decorated rocking called Jagar-Jagar.

The Jewelry wear of stacking necklace called Gajah Meong and bracelet set in hand.
