Historical Of The Nasution Clan



1. Early Descendants First Marga Nasution

Mandailing people surnamed Nasution believes they are descendants of Si Baroar that at the time the baby was found in the woods by the king of Huta Pulungan Sutan Bargot in Mandailing Godang.

Another version says that "the first would Nasution was the son of Raja Iskandar Muda of Fence Ruyong (center of the ancient Minangkabau work), which in turn was the grandson of Sultan Iskandar, the name of Alexander de Grote (the Great) in the stories of Indonesia.

However, since when the Lubis clan first came to power in Mandailing Julu is not known with certainty.

3. Dalian Na Tolu

Mandailing tribes wherever they are on land or on the shoreline practice the system of  genetic of relationship Dalian Na Tolu (the foundation of the three). 4. Penyabungan Tonga-Tonga
Which is considered the most important place in Mandailing Godang since ancient Panyabungan is growing from a small village into a city's oldest.
 While considered the most important part than  Panyabungan is Panyabungan Tonga-Tonga.
 According to those beliefs of Mandailing people in that's place Si Baroar was first settled, the figures are seen as ancestors of the people Mandailing Nasution clan.

Once appointed by the inhabitants of the kingdom, Si Baroar held Sutan Diaru  from  Panyabungan Tonga-Tonga, descendants scattered and become the kings of the various places in Mandailing Godang. Until now there Godang Bagas (Big House) and a traditional convention center called Sopo Godang (great hall) in the Tonga-Tonga Panyabungan. In the distance is not so far to the south of the building is situated the tomb of  Si Baroar.

5. Clan

Like most people in the world, society is patrilineal Mandailing, which is followed next to father offspring.
Only the boy who connect or use the surname for the next descent. While the women wore only use clan but can not connect of clan.

The name of clan or Mandailing`s people men and women still wear the clan's father if married.
He was not wearing her husband's surname as the Western woman who took the surname (family name) husband after marriage.


Like the Arabs and Tionghua, Mandailing people have knowledge about their lineage to some of the descendants of their ancestors as well as history.
At first, surname genealogy something narrated orally from generation to generation (tambo or terombo) then allowed are inscribed.
